Our History
We are a daughter church of Gracepoint Church (www.graceptchurch.org), who dreamed of reaching more people with the gospel by planting churches. Gracepoint was originally sent out as a mission church from Korean United Church (www.kucp.org) in 2007 under the leadership of Pastor Robert Kim. They later ordained their first elders and became an independent church in 2010. Then in 2015, Pastor Paul Kim was recruited to plant another church in the North Penn area. He began to gather a launch team in October 2015, as they held weekly meetings and organized outreach events in the target area. Then in September 2016, Gracepoint North officially launched their first public worship services at the Lansdale School of Business in North Wales, PA. Experiencing steady growth, they also ordained their first elders, installed Pastor Paul as their official lead pastor, and became an independent church in June 2019. Today Gracepoint North continues to grow and hopes to plant more churches along the way.
Our Mission
The Mission of Gracepoint North is to build a multiplying, Gospel-centered community that is faithful to the Great Commandments (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” – Matthew 22:36-40
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20
Our Vision and Values
Encounter the Gospel– Our church is devoted to preaching Gospel-centered messages faithfully exposited from the Bible. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life, and it is only through a relationship with Him that we have true purpose in life and an eternal future. Our vision is to be salt and light of that gospel to our local community (John 3:16; 14:6, Matthew 5:13-16).
Exist in Community– Our church is devoted to building intentional relationships. God’s love is often experienced through community with one another, and no one was meant to be alone. Spiritual growth happens in communities, as we make ourselves vulnerable and invite accountability. Our vision is that all of our members will be connected to the church through a community group (John 13:34-35; Hebrew 10:24-25).
Equip for Ministry– Our church is devoted to training our members to become disciples of Jesus Christ. We strive for spiritual growth and maturity by equipping our members with the Word of God and the Doctrines of the Christian faith. Our vision is to train and enable our members to know the gospel, and discover their gifts and passions, through Discipleship Training courses (Ephesians 4:11-16).
Engage in Mission– Our church is devoted to living out God’s purpose and mission by being faithful witnesses of the gospel. Our vision is for all of our members to develop a missional heart in order to be a witness of the gospel wherever they are; whether it is at church, their work places, social life, or in family life. We also strive to provide opportunities for our members to actively go out and renew individuals, communities and the world through the Gospel (Matthew 22:26-40; 28:18-20).
Expand by Planting Churches– The Gracepoint Network of Churches hopes to spread the saving message of the Gospel by planting more churches. Our vision as a church is to develop more leaders and church planters who will take on the task. By planting more churches, we believe we will reach more people with the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 16:18).
Our Beliefs and Polity
We are a church in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and abide to their Biblically based system of church government. We also hold to the doctrinal standards expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith (with Shorter and Larger Catechisms).
